This morning I rolled up my bedroom blind to see seagulls wheeling on the air currents above the park. It's gray and cloudy today, so the circling white gulls make a bright contrast over the gray water and green trees.  I watched them for a while.  If I were a seagull today, I think I might have air collision problems.

While driving to work, I spotted a mourning dove perched on top of a red light in the middle of an intersection, peering down at the traffic below.

In the parking lot, a titmouse was pecking at the rear-view mirrors of Ray's purple PT Cruiser. I would have taken a picture but the bird was too quick for me -- it stayed just long enough to menace each window and mirror thoroughly and flitted off into the trees.

Birds are everywhere this morning.

I had a dream once that I turned into a bird and could soar into the sky.  I was ecstatic, of course, at first. Until I circled back and found that my husband was a turtle and we were separated. Then I felt crushed.

I don't know a lot about this, but I think it's supposed to be a good thing to be human as opposed to an animal.
